Add a watermark to an uploaded video
A watermark is an image that can be layered on top of an uploaded video. Examples of overlays include logos, informative text, ads, and more.
To add a watermark to your videos:
- 1
Create an image in any image editing program using an aspect ratio of 16:9 (e.g. 1920x1080 or 1280x720) and save/export it as a .png or .jpeg to your computer.
- 2
From your Channel Dashboard, click Publish from the far-left menu.
- 3
Enter your broadcast’s information (e.g., title, description, category).
- 4
Click Upload.
- 5
Click Upload Watermark/Overlay and select the image file you created. Crop the photo as needed.
- 6
Upload your video file and select Instant VOD or Simulate Live.
- 7
Click the green Create Broadcast button. Your video will upload with the overlay automatically layered on top.
Once you have uploaded a watermark, it will be available for you to use with all future uploaded videos. When you click the Upload Watermark/Overlay button, your previously uploaded overlay images will appear in a menu to the right. You can click the desired image, then follow steps 6 and 7 above to create your broadcast.
Note: Watermarks are currently only available for uploaded videos, not RTMP live broadcasts.
