Live stream from OBS

Open Broadcaster Software (OBS) is a free and open source software for video recording and live streaming on a Mac or PC. Like many other live streaming platforms, OBS uses the RTMP streaming protocol.

To stream to your PANDA channel using OBS, you just need to enter your channel’s RTMP info (your stream key and hostname) from your PANDA dashboard into OBS.

To set up your OBS broadcast to stream to PANDA:

1

Open OBS and click Settings in the lower-right menu.

2

From the left-hand menu, click Stream.

3

From the Service dropdown menu, select Custom…

4

Enter your PANDA channel’s hostname in the Server box and then paste in your channel’s stream key (see below).

5

Adjust other OBS settings as needed to optimize your stream.

6

Click OK.

If you have Auto-Start enabled on your RTMP broadcast, your broadcast on your PANDA channel will begin as soon as you click Start Streaming in OBS.

To find your PANDA channel’s hostname and stream key:

1

Go to your Channel Dashboard and click Settings from the far-left menu.

2

Click the Broadcasting Settings menu.

3

Scroll down to the RTMP Keys section.

4

Under Hostname, click the Copy button. (In OBS, paste this in the Server box.)

5

Under Default, click the green Copy button. (In OBS, paste this in the Stream Key box.)
